What's the point of immunities when you're clearly not immune? (Poison, fear, etc.)?
I mean, it's getting on my damn nerves.

I have like 3 or 4 different things (items, abilities, etc) that SUPPOSEDLY give me immunities to poison, fear, and mind-affecting abilities, yet I'm always getting affected!

Confusion? Check.
Deskari poison? Check.
Random boss/mini-boss fear? Check.

Oh, and Joyful Rapture doesn't seem to do anything. Is there any other way to resolve mind-affecting abilities.

This game is hard as it is, without constantly questioning "are these abilities even working?!" *#&^@&@$(&!!!!!!!

There's a couple first level spells to take care of confusion and fear, the poison is second or third level.
Raise your will stats with Owl's Wisdom, Mass. The higher the wisdom, the more resistant to mind-affecting abilities you are!

Appreciate the help, but I'm talking about items that say I'm IMMUNE. sigh

Bugs most likely
Could you provide an explicit example? Like a screenshot with your character with the buff/items on but also the debuff? It'll help us understand and get to what or why the issue is!

I'm sure those +2 will saves will help him immensely.

It's a legitimate gripe. The items and abilities that are supposed to give you immunity are spotty at best.
  • Blind-Fight: Grants immunity to gaze attacks right? Tell that to the Nabasu's Death-Stealing Gaze.
  • Paladin Fear Immunity: Quite a few fear auras and abilities will affect you through that.
  • Blood Clarity, a cloak that grants you immunity to mind effects for 3 rounds after killing an enemy. Didn't help against Phantasmal Putrification.
There are a couple of poisons that work through Delay Poison and some level drain abilities that work through Death Ward as well. That said it's hard to know if it's a bug or Owlcat's idea of game balance.

Laughing caves, Lich MC so immune to fear as is Kestoglyr and my skeleman cast heroic invocation too. Vavakia Vanguard, immediately makes entire party afraid for about 2 minutes I think it is.

Some of the higher level encounters have the equivalent of mythic ignore immunity/resistance to some of their specific abilities. In which case you need to have to have your saves buffed as high as possible.

But the spells that don't work as advertised are incredibly frustrating. Break enchantment is one that just gets me angry since clerics have so few good utility spells as it is. But at least I knew the spell was going to be as broken in this as it was in Kingmaker.

Tons of things don't work as described.
Sometimes, you're even glad that they simply don't work because other work opposite to their description. (My example of this is the "conviction" ability from the Celestial Bloodrager bloodline. Instead of a "good luck" effect on one roll per rage as described, you get a "bad luck" one.)
My only suggestion, sadly is "report and pray". (alt-B to report a bug, then hope that your report actually gets attention from the devs because there is no way to know for sure.)

TBF, blind fight is not supposed to give blanket immunity to all gaze attacks but only to those attacks that require the victim to see the gaze: petrifying gaze, wild gaze, blinding beauty, etc. That is, the feat allows you to keep your eyes closed while fighting, with whatever benefits/immunities that might provide. But if the monster shoots beams of fire out of its eyes at you, you won't suddenly become immune to fire just by deciding to fight blind.

There are a few attacks / abilities / special feats that will go through all immunity and so you will have to cast protection spells instead, shield of law works well.

I still have a habit of dropping Remove Fear on everyone, just so that even when I get Fear or Shaken conditions, nothing happens, as it 'supresses the effect for the duration'. So it's not trying to apply immunity, but rather ignoring the condition even if it's applied.

I haven't seen the paladin affected by fear, but have seen a couple of times where a poison got past my Monk's poison immunity.
