ZACHARIUS'S PHYLACTERY

I destryed his "PHYLACTERY" but the quest didn't proceed or finish and I have the broken wand as a lich
So what should I do?

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't break it. I don't think there's any quest for it when it's broken.

Yep no quest. You would only know about some quest if you did not break the wand to begin with.

The quest says "To avoid Zacharius's vengeance, the Commander should find and destroy his phylactery"

Then you should *definitely* not break it. As in, it's impossible to get when you break it.

Not done, unfortunately. I also got the same quest, passed the perception check to find the phylactery inside the ziggurat - but when you destroy Zacharius' phylactery (literary decribed as "Broken Wand of Zacharius" in the inventory), the quest is not updated, and fails when you enter the Threshold fortress. I tried re-informing the pillar of skulls about Zacharius' demise several times just in case, and they submitted to me - but this changed nothing, and I am out of ideas.

I think this is simply a bug, and was also referred to as such somewhere on Reddit, as far as I remember - but who knows? We'll see if Zacharius "revives" in the Threshold chapter at some point due to this...

That aside, I think getting your own phylactery broken and attacked by Zacharius is a suboptimal lich playthrough - they say you can have him praise you if you give him the wand right away during the first meeting, and then all is well. Again, will see how it goes, I guess. I think you may also need to answer all of his questions requiring skill checks correctly (I think there were several of those..? But I may be wrong about this part, can't exactly remember).

In my lich play through he was impressed with my character but made me beg him to give up my phylactery. I did that he praised me for knowing who the better lich was and then he left with no fight. I didn’t see him again the rest of the game.
