The cutscene triggers when you approach the temple of Desna for the first time at Kenabres - Market Square.
I believe she needs to be in the party that goes to the lab for this to trigger as it involves a certain event in the area that reveals the party members' secret desires.
You are right. I added that to the guide. Thanks!
The scene is suppose to trigger with the upper left (map perspective) entrance of Bad Luck Tavern.
Does anyone understand why the characters are supposed to bark after sex?
That said, I didn't do everything perfect. I didn't play the song at the lost chapel or get her out of Drezen early. I had to recruit her in Act 3 instead. However, I am on the Azata mythic path, (and a worshiper of Desna myself), so I think that alone naturally puts me on better footing to be with her. Most of my dialgue choices in general tend towards Chaotic and Good alignment. So I don't think you need to do everything perfect, it's not like this is some secret romance. You do have to take it slow with her though. There are definately some dialoge choices when talking to her that would terminate romantic chances. Being pushy too much about wanting to romance her when she's still scared of temptation, or likewise declaring that it would be too much temptation to go down that road, are probably both bad ideas.
I will also say, she was not in my active party a lot. My standard active party was myself, two mercs, Seelah, Sosiel, and Nenio for most of the game. so yeah, there is still a lot of give in the romance option with her. You don't have to follow everything strict.
AFAIK, the Lost Chapel event and rescuing her in the siege of Drezen aren't strictly required, they're just additional opportunities to gain trust with her
For me it happened shortly after clearing Ivory Sanctum.
I wasn't springing any demon succubi during the siege so I left her in her cell. No problem with the romance.
Very good point. I will think of a different phrasing to make it more clear about the hidden like/dislike counter I have mentioned. I was not aware that the guide still sounds like you have to do everything exactly as written, despite my note.
I was thinking lorewise it would be after being in Areelu's lab where Aruaru was confronted with her vision of lust and desire. But I am uncertain seeing solthusx had a different experience. It might be such a thing where multiple approaches are possible.
That is correct. To get an early "trust-boost" if you will, and access to the hints during the Sword of Valor cutscene.
A very good note too. At some point I was sure, if she decided to stay there it is because you are too pushy and failed the romance already. Though there were neutral dialogue options along the lines.

I'd say yes. I didn't hang around for a Lann event -not romance related- and got 'screwed' after.
