SHHHH I am hunting conjurers with ember, she is trying to sniff them out with see invisibility.

Whats up doc? but... see invisibility did not sniff him out I literately had to walk over him. Seems there is a bug that see invisibility works only on the area it was cast, I had the same problem with the shadowdemon in the basement I had to cast the scroll, not the spell, the scroll right in his face for him to show up.

I think for whatever reason those kinda spells work in terms of their intended buff, but invisible targets are programmed to show up when you get close to them and not based on those buffs.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I don't think see invisibility lets you see targets who're invisible it just improves the chances of seeing them your perception is what effects you seeing an invisible target.

^^ hm the spell has 1 purpose in the game counter invisibility so conjurers cant empty their spell-book on you. It wont work on hiding creatures it won't give perception bonuses if you pick it up it is so you can see the 3 invisible creatures in act one and the 6-7 others you meet in drezen and the abyss. if its not supposed to do that just remove the spell and not put it there in the first place.
Also in my previous playthrough it worked like a charm, i think is something with 1.09 patch that broke it.

good question, i experience similiar problems, see invisibility will only work when i cast it close to the invisible enemy it seems, else i won't work but give me +20 on perception to spot em eventually? not sure...
