Tower shield specialist worth it for Seelah?
I have been thinking a bit about how to build Seelah and looking at guides. I would like to build her a s a mounted tank (core diffficulty). Dipping 3 Levels into tower shield specialist seems to provide quite a bit of benefits as I get 3 feats (when including tower shield specialisation) I can use the great tower shield bonus with mounted shield for the horse and the reduced armor penalties help with mounted combat. Anything I am missing?

Not that I can think of. Though it might result in a personal preference thing again. Especially considering that there are some very good heavy shields and very little good tower shields in the game.

There aren't many tower shields in game now. Wait on DLC, I'd say.

In terms of shields I was mostly looking at "Dawn of Life". The mobility downside is bearable, since she will be mounted and healing yourself when being crit sounds very useful.

Instead of dipping 3 levels intro tower shield you can dip 1 level intro monk scale first. 1 level intro vivi and 1 level intro oracle. More armor for same levels and no move speed penalty

It seems Monk Scaled fist only applies the bonus when unarmored, how does this work?
Oracle I assume is nature revelation and the charisma bonus to armor?
I assume vivisectionist is mostly for the sneak attack damage, how does it compare to a favourite enemy bonus given by demonslayer?

I am not yet sure how much I want to go into the crazy amount of multiclassing, but I would like to at least learn a bit more about it. Basically the nice stuff in Paladin seems to be mostly until level 11 and as I understand it if I multiclass into other divine spellcasters I should still advance my caster level.
It also seems to me if I multiclass too much I hinder the progression of the mount, not?

if you want to play a mounted tank than a monk dip won't add much
the oracle dip could give you the animal companion earlier or add your charisma to its saves
no idea what 1 dip of vivi would add to a mounted tank beside str

1 lvl of witch is probably worth more then that for a +5AC.

Pick Iceplant Hex, in first act there's a ring that increase Iceplant bonus by 2 and select the lizard familiar for an extra 1.

I would say it's a bad idea.
Tower Shield will lower your Mobility roll. You need it to protect your horse.
Tower Shield will raise your AC, but your AC is nearly never used when you are mounted in Owlcat's Pathfinder.
A heavy shield is a lot more usefull and thoses 3 levels and feats better used elsewhere...

Oh, hadn't noticed the OP wanted to make a mounted tank, ya I'd agree its not the best idea in that case.

I tohught the horse made the mobility roll. Cause that makes sense imo. Why would the mounted person have to make a mobility roll? Its the horse that needs to move. Mounted is pretty buged tho so who knows. Like u can take mount feats on both player and animal which has a tendency of just getting weird.

So if the mount takes the mounted feats its the mount that need to make mobility check? but of Seelah takes the feats she needs to make the mobility check?

Because the rider is the one guiding the mount.

i would imagine its more of the rider intercepting like putting your weapon/shield in the way of an coming attack to your mount
