*spoilers* 'Soul Hunter' (Demon City roofs) cannot be killed?
So I encountered the 'Soul Hunter' on a roof in Alushinyrra but I cannot kill him, he has 'Death' shown as an immunity as soon as you bring him down to 0 hitpoints.

What now? How can I kill him?

Ember's immunity removal does not work (I expected as much), what else is there?

He just lying there like something unhygienic and cannot be killed.

Yes it has regeneration but only 10 measly hitpoints, a single strike of any character does more than that. It's regen is stopped by positive energy. Anyway it died now (after like 30 rounds), maybe Seelah did some positive energy damage somehow, I will never know. Just glad its over.

It doesn't matter how many points it regenerates, to kill anyone with regen, you have to disable the regen first, otherwise it will just bring the creature back to life (both lore-wise and mechanics-wise).

I do not remember if it was coup de grace, Convenant of the Inheritor, Bless Weapon, Weapon Alignment Good, or just the bludgening weapons my melee characters had on hand - but he is killable.

There is literally NOTHING anywhere in his whole inspect, including all his abilities, that grants death immuntiy or gives any hint how to kill him!!

try healing it

For enemies like this, my go to is switch TB mode off and just wait until someone in the party killed it. As for this character per se, I think healing downs it just like his bud in the Midnight Fane.

That would be interesting if that changes anything. Though I assumed original poster already did that as it is a default step.

I think that particular one might need to be healed to die, but in general the other method is easiest imo xD

Just check what stops it from regenerating and use that.

If it is a regeneration issue, I can see a relation to the pit issue. But for that original poster would have to give more data.

And how could I deny that tactic: in doubt stay positive (channeling)

How do you get to that rooftop?

channel positive energy / harm undead will kill it, he has the same regen ability as playful darkness.

I think a key point is being missed here. This is a WTF encounter. Soul Hunter, 2 Death Catchers, and the two lumbering hulk things (Playing on Core, everyone's lvl 15). Everyone but Seelah got scared and can't fight, Seelah, even with Smite, doesn't contend with the massive damage from all the attacks. And they killed guardian angel boy.

What's the bloody point here? There's not even an achievement for this? Even if you somehow manage to kill him.

Sometimes the fight is the reward. And the sweet XP.

As for his fear, if you've been leveling Seelah as a Paladin, she has access to Level 2 spell Aura of Greater Courage, which spreads her fear immunity to everyone around her. Alternatively, most divine casters by this level will have access to Holy Aura, which does the same. (Maybe not Camellia. Not sure, she uh, died for me)
