[SPOILER] Act V: Cannot decide between Aeon and Golden Dragon
I read the GD path is dumb and barebone, I do not like the perks neither, but I am afraid I will never reach mythic 10 with Aeon, as I got the impression it falls to full Judge Dredd mode, with the first quest requesting me to imprison 90% of the population of Drezen.

Pure madness, I did not sign for this - until now, Aeon was not the implacable heartless LN caricature it may have been.

Aeon was the implacable heartless LN creature from the very start, to the point that if you don't do what it wishes very early on it abandons you.

What did make you think being lawful means to have a heart?

Aeons are literal the embodiment of law. they are elemental law, they are pretty much the definition of implacable. it's not a caricature

If the law says stealing is to be punished with death, killing orphaned and homeless children who stole bread is just and lawful. Anything less is mercy.

You could pick Legend?

Or just go straight with hell: devil

How does Aeon deal with Woljiff?

I think there’s a renegade Aion path? Should be more flexible?

I don't agree - I had managed to stay on the True Aeon path and gave judgements I was comfortable with.
But not anymore with Act 5.

Ultimately it is ridiculous : I am mandated to empty Drezen from almost all of its citizens, I should also ban 50% of my team - including Seelah who is LG in theory.

Devil is not an option for my LG character :-)
Legend will severely decrease my power, as I will lose all mythic perks and I am almost certain the extra levels will not compensate the losses.

I should have taken Angel, even if fixing the past was fun.

But would I get level 10 in the mythic path by being renegade? I am afraid I'll be stuck with level 8.

Not speaking from experience, but many people say Legend is amongst the strongest options - I wouldn't worry. It makes you level 40, after all.

Correct, you cannot fail a mythic path and then expect to reach level 10 in it. I did it anyway in one run because I felt like renegade aeon best fit the role-playing I was doing, but the consequence was being weaker in the last part of the game.

And yet, the second you leave the wardstone alive the Aeon abandons you because he can't be bothered with such a thing in the world even if it's keeping people safe. I'm not saying it's great, I'm saying it was like that from the start.

Keep in mind with GD, the dragon form is easily dispellable. I’d imagine this is a big but, it broke the immersion for me.

Go Aeon. Golden Dragon was done as an afterthought. Aeon has some of the most interesting endgame choice of any class. It's spells aren't great though, to be honest.
