stuck in sacred lands puzzle.

So i have just started working on the sacred lands puzzle, but i find myself stuck. Not on the puzzle itself, but on the actual stone pillars. I have one bridge to get off of the pillar, but it will not open. I also have no stones on my side to move it up. Is there a reset, or way to restart the puzzle. I can't imagine a game having a scenario where you simply have to start over, this far into it, but it really seems like i'm at that point. I have no idea how top get off of this pillar. Any help here would be appreciated.

Well, its a puzzle, the point is press the right buttons in the right sequence, I dont think you can remain stuck. Also you can probably cheat with some teleport magic.

There's walkthroughs on how to do it. No idea how to reset it, though. I always save right before beginning any puzzle.
