aura of greater courage not lasting 10 minutes / level?

Whenever I cast this, it only lasts 18 seconds (3 rounds). I tried it on both my level 10 paladin as well as a level 20 paladin. Is this also happening to other people?

No mods, I'll try reloading the game.

The first time I noticed it I was on my dipped paladin (oracle 1/scaled fist 1/witch of the veil 1 / paladin 10). I wonder if the dips messed up the logic somehow. I then loaded my pure paladin 20 on a different save but his also lasted 3 rounds. I guess I'll do a full restart later.

I'm puzzled, reloading didn't help. Her other buff durations are working just fine, for example I cast bestow grace on herself with greater enduring spells and I got 24 hours just like I would expect.

Is your paladin in an archetype that gives up the aura of courage base feature?
The spell says it requires it so maybe having it disappear quickly is how they're doing that?
Or maybe it's just not working.

My paladin is Seelah, so it's a base paladin.

I'm pretty sure I have the aura based on the above, and also I checked my ability sheet it lists aura of courage as one of my abilities.

Well things just get stranger and stranger.

I'm playing the standalone roguelike and I leveld 6 sohei into 1 paladin into 1 hell knight into rest paladin, and this time when I press aura of greater courage, nothing happens at all, not even the buff icon for 17 seconds.

And I notice that unbreakable heart buff I cast from an oracle only lasts 17 seconds despite me casting it at level 18 caster (should be close to 2 minute duration). Something's wonky with fear suppression effects anyone else notice?

Seriously, you either have a mod with weird collateral effects (or perhaps had one and it's only partially removed),
or some game files are corrupted.

In either case, a you problem...

I would suggest verifying the integrity of the game files (from Properties-->Local Files).
If that fails, nuke the game (uninstall and ensure the local files directory is deleted) and reinstall.

I have never installed a mod for this game (or any other recent games, not even rimworld or dos). I do not trust mods period not even simple ones that just change a few variables.

I find it very strange that it would be a "me" problem because every other problem I've had, someone else has encountered it before. For example I recently asked about druids not being able to take impossbile domain and they told me it's been bugged that way for a while. Definitely not a "me" problem.

I guess I'll be forced to waste my time verifying game files.

edit: your suggestoin to verify the integrity of the game has failed. I guess I'm forced to waste some hours redownloading the game.

Your other suggestion to reinstall the game has also failed.

Probably a stupid question but were your party members in range of the Aura? They have to be within 10 feet of your Paladin for the Aura to work at all.
Worked fine in Kingmaker, I've yet to get Seelah leveled to that point to see if it happens

It doesn't matter if party members are in range or not. When I click the spell, Seelah herself gets a 15-17 second buff and that's what I'm reading off of. If I move allies near her or when they start next to her when she casts it, they also receive that short buff.

Seems they're getting 3 rounds
Weird like it's going off rounds per caster level

On wrong durations, scroll of prayer only lasts 2 rounds where it should last 5
Result of an update to stop playing the music when minimized maybe? Lol

Nah.
When in doubt, check if you have the same problem in the same situation. If so, it is most likely a bug.
In this case, I did check, and it is not so. I have a Paladin level 15 Seelah in the party, I cast Greater Aura of courage, and the party gets a "Permanent" buff when around her. I didn't check if it actually lasts for 150 minutes, for obvious reasons, but it's still going after more than 18 seconds for sure. I also skipped time and the aura is still there.

So it does not seem to be a reproducible bug as described. Cue the suggestion that it is most likely a mod, or file corruption.
At this point it seems this is not the case either.

Maybe something missing in the poster's report so the situation is different. Hard to say what though.

It might be an issue with the save itself, but it seems unlikely if it also happens on a fresh DLC campaign. But just in case, can you share the save snuggleform?

At this point, apart from sharing the save here so others can check if it happens to them, not much the forum can do I'm afraid. Try ALT+B to send a bug report to Owlcat, they probably have more and better resources at their disposal.
