At least if you're doing a skill monkey character. Combine it with Creative Approach (from Bit of Fun) and you'll crush skills.
Kind of wierd too.
Sneaking around maps
Persuasion to Intimidate in combat
Any other skill in combat, like Mobility
Use Magical Device
etc.
Agreed to that point yeah Act 4 with the demon sitting on the throne near the end of the act has you will power your own character check
Agreed, i went through the game without it so far in Act 4 and have been fine with the major skill checks of the 40-50 ones there are items that add a ton of each skill check as well as food for resting with +3 checks so far is the best i can get.
I just go with perks that actually benefit my character to begin with being Spell penetration is a must for my caster or critical strike with preferred weapon
You can do a similar thing taking religion to 20 as an extra skill w/ Fast Learner, making your Treat Affliction good enough to strip conditions, while upgrading it with Religion Rank 1 Trick so it removes any negative conditions on the target (not just poison and diseases).
Other than Mythic Trickster, I don't really see a point to taking Fast Learner because as mentioned, most skill checks can be done by other party members. The ones that can't be you probably already have investment in as MC (Mostly Perception and Persuasion checks).
