Gnome Hooked hammer considered two weapon?

I noticed that using the GHH shows a -2 for "two weapon fighting". I know this weapon has two edges so maybe that is why (even though it is technically a "two handed" weapon)?
I do have the "double weapons" feat for it.

Yes, and it's the same with other double weapons in the game (orc double axe, two-bladed sword).

Just for clarity: You are saying this is "normal" in pathfinder correct on this kind of weapon? Not a bug?
If so then I should improve two weapon skills?

Yes, it's normal. In fact there's at least one item in the game with a conditional that activates when you hit with the other end of the weapon after hitting with the primary end.

Gnome Hook Hammer, Double Sword, The Orc double axe and the Dwarf Ungosh all are double weapons. You use two weapon fighting with them. So get your Darth Maul on.

One of your companions will come pre specialized in the hook hammer. He's cool.
