What's the point of haramaki armor?
Can't really see any use for these armors at all. You can find bracers of armor that give more defense and any casters can get archmage armor which is vastly better so who is this armor actually for?

Fashion for Ember?

Would have been better if it gave dodge defense like monk robes.

I used one for a while in early game since you'll get one with 4 armour far earlier than a pair of 4 armour bracers.

It´s just another Variant of the worst Light Armor you can get(more or less). Its more a Fluff Armor.... In the PnP this Type of Armor(Japanese Sarmurai and Medival Armor) comes from a Land far from the East, so its just there for Fashion :D

Some of them have decent passives even if the actual armor boost is redundant.

I was hoping my sword saint could finally have the perfect armor for him but nooooo. Monks even lose their AC bonus if they wear it.

Save yourself a bracer spot I guess. There's a couple decent spellcaster bracers that you might use in place of bracers of armor

Only noticed it yesterday, if I recall it has not spell failure. So surely the wiz/sorcs can use it. Plus 1 AC is better than nothing.

Mage armor blows haramki out of the water like i said especially with archmage armor mythic. And they don't stack.

If you are a spellcaster you will be using mage armor anyways so you should have a free spot for bracers.

Mage armor isn't going to save my spellcasters on higher difficulties/levels anyway so I usually just ignore it for the(it is nice for monk builds/dips though).

It's used in pnp where wizards can enchant their own set to get specific armor bonuses while keeping their bracer/wrist slot. In Wrath, it's kinda useless unless you have such absurd dexterity that having a dex cap at all limits you.

Also far cheaper.

Bracers are Wondrous Items which cost far more for an armor enhancement bonus than just enchanting real armor.

Haramaki also does not have a dex cap, unlike Padded - but it confers the same base 1 AC that Padded does... *without the ASF*, too.

It has no dex cap and no arcane casting failure, so if you find a good one you might as well use it even if you don't benefit from the armor itself. For example I have one that gives +4 to all saving throws.

I use it on high dex archers that have their bracer slot full.
