can't cast animal growth on self?

hey, so i just unlocked 5th level spells on my druid after unlocking mythic path and going for azata, however, the animal growth spell for whatever reason i can't use it on myself (a dwarf), seelah, or my dragon companion i got with the azata path.. but i can use it on my druid companion who is already LARGE and meanwhile i'm medium as a dwarf but it wont let me cast it on myself?

not sure what's blocking this.. all the pop up says when it doesn't cast is "TARGET HAS".. literally all it says. target has what?!

my dude, ANIMAL growth. it only works on animals.

Pathfinder is speciest and doesn't consider dragons or humanoids animals, so Animal Growth doesn't work on them.

Ok, the speciest thing is a joke but the targets will need the tag "Animal" on them, and Humanoid and Dragon are separate. Also the reason there are separate spells for charm / dominate / etc for Animals.

even during shapeshift, it won't let me cast it on myself..

am i still just a dwarf when i'm shapeshifted into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bear?

It should work in animal form I think, as long you can cast spell while being in animal form that is. If not its either a bug or I am wrong.

Yes, you dont actually change your Race while Shapeshifting.

i have natural spell feat so can cast whilst shapeshifted, but it still just says "TARGET HAS", even when i'm in bear form.
