Fight under ziggurat. Lich spoilers

I fought under the ziggurat Septimius and the other ones. Now I became a Lich. But Zacharias has my phylactery. Can I kill him? Or bend the knee? Cause killim him grave me a broken phylactery and seem I'm not immortal anymore.

I think you need to beg if you want to be a lich. That's my recollection.

In order to avoid begging, you must be inquistive towards Zacharias. Never threaten him.

Also, when the conflict between the Whispered Way and Vampires crops up, kill both sides and steer independant of their factions.

Then you get a dialogue option with Ol' Zach, where you reason with him, that you are just like him and he just gives you your soul jar.

I believe you can still be a Lich if you refuse to bend the knee(it only returns a Lich's soul to its body, you still have to be directly killed), you just have to fight him and you don't get your phylactery.

If you bend the knee he gives you your phylactery(wrist item, +5 armor, free Deadly Magic charges, once per day free self-resurrect), gloats a bit and leaves. But there's no other effect other than a hit to your pride.

Honestly I don't think savescumming and changing whole decisions just to appease him is really a whole lot better than the latter, if you think about it. Just bend the knee and collect your ♥♥♥♥.

Yup I threatened him too when he told me too bend the knee like a little bee. Because I thought he'd like a little chaotic with his evil, I was wrong, we just ended up fighting and I wound up killing him. I don't remember him having any unique items on his corpse though.

Though my question is can I still progress to mythic 10, even though Zacharias is dead?

Might just have to reload though, self resurrect on the bracers sounds dope.
