Question about Horgus - Spoilers: Gwerm Family Secrets
Soooo, is Horgus a slaver or just...REAAAAALLY kinky? So kinky he's got boxes and boxes of restraints and torture devices. Because this is a reality where aristocrats owning people as slaves IS a thing, and there are multiple rooms in his mansion that are just blocked from entry entirely (at least up to this point in the story anyway).

I suspect it's just the devs having some fun with some flavor text of the various items you can investigate, considering the "tools of torture" were found in a bedroom drawer. But, the massive boxes of chains, cuffs, and whips, were in the storage room, implying he's tying up a LOT of people.

Now, I'm 100% fine if he's just a kinky freak, and likes having massive leather/fetish orgies at his manor, hell Daeran would probably like to attend, but if it's because he's actually enslaving people, I feel it's something my character would ASK about, seeing as it's the first question *I* had as the player, when going through his manor. So my Lawful Good Monk/Paladin, upon finding massive piles of humanoid restraints, doesn't have questions for the guy he is helping? Who clearly acts like he's hiding some massive secret? Seems suspicious to me the actual human, I find it baffling that my PC wouldn't also be equally suspicious about it.

Guess you'll have to wait for chapter 5 and see for yourself.

Just to put it out there, there's at least a 50% chance that they belong to the other person who lived there. The one who sleeps downstairs.

Ok so it IS addressed, good. That's the part that was the biggest disconnect for me. How NOBODY seemed to be curious, or questioning about it, at all. When that was the first red flag thing that came up for me. xD

If you want the spoilers..

From what I've been able to gather on these forums - Horgus' daughter, Camellia (yes, that Camellia that joins your party), is a Chaotic Evil serial killer, and revels in it. There is absolutely no way to redeem her either. Though it doesn't do a lot for explaining why you can't ask about it, but I would suspect that even if you could, Horgus might just cover for her.

Nah I'm not really looking for spoilers, though someone already did kind of give it away. I was just wondering if I was the only person who, as Jon Tron put it "I have questions!" when seeing the boxes of restraints and stuff. Since my PC apparently had zero comments about it. It just felt like a good thing, to contextually slip into the conversation choices later if you bothered to click on them. Because given the number of times this game slaps you with alignment choices based on stuff you learn, it felt like the kind of topic that would trigger a lawful/good/chaos/evil type of discussion. Because again, just assuming your average human, if *I* came across a giant pile of restraints in a weird rich dudes house, and I was helping him, I'd want some freaking answers before I did anything else for him.

But others have said it gets addressed later, just felt like a missed opportunity for some interesting dialogue with Horgus is all.
