Design Choices ... why?
Okay, lack of summoner aside.
So we've got aasimar and tiefling - nice to see the aasimar on the list, it's usually ignored and just tiefling's around.
Dhampire's an ... interesting choice. Why's it there?
And ... oread, but not ifrit, sylph, or undine. Whyyyy?

A bunch of the semi-psychic occult classes, but not the gunslinger, which would have been an interesting thing to try. Just... the game's fun, but the choices coming into this are weird at times. A shame I can't make my greatsword magus.

I suppose they were the easiest to implement with minimal additional work. Even fox race didn't have tales during beta. And you want ifrits and gunslingers? Keep dreaming. This game doesn't even have unique icons for some spells and abilities.

The existence of choices and sub-choices are already massive and great. And there is a limit to development time and resources.

I’m going to assume they’re saving the gunslinger and swashbuckler for hopefully a Skulls & Shackles port.... which seems like a very natural new game since having your own pirate ship and crew fits the Owlcat theme of your party + an additional overland management system

No gunslinger because they say it feels out of place. But then there's the kitsune so IDK.

I want them to add more anime dead companion story.
So many people i could kill and raise as undead servants are ignored

No Kobold either! :(

I know, right? I was like 'I like kitsune as much as the next girl, but... weird choice.'
Didn't make one - it felt out of place - Zen Archer Elf instead. But... yeah, I mean, alchemists and a bunch of 'gothic' classes, but the gunslinger's out of place? Feh.

Took me a sec to figure out you meant animate dead. :D Yeah, that should definitely have been available.

They should have had the four gen (half-elemental) races. If you're gonna put in one, put the other three in. It's what pissed me off with 5E D&D. "Hey, we'll put in tieflings, but not aasimar". Like... peeps, both or none.

ratkin would be so much better, people voted for kitsune I'd love to make a ratkin grannadier for skaven globadier rp

This.

Kitsune feels very awkward in the game. I know it was a stretch goal in the kickstarter, but seriously it just doesn't fit.

Damphir really needs to be there. It makes a lich path feel so good to have damphir mercs to fill out your holes.

I don't know, to me a Lich is better as a human. A Dhampir is already technically immortal, although not as resilient as other immortal beings. A human on the other hand has all the reasons in the world to want to be a Lich and in my eyes is the perfect race for the role: ambition, short life, etc.

I specifically said mercs. With dhampir mercs they heal from negative energy, which goes super well with an undead party for obvious reasons. I'd only go damphir as Lich if you were going cruoromancer (dhampir unique class), since you gain healing from negative energy regardless later.

Considering ustalav is neighboring the region, having dhampir makes sense, since it's pretty much a vampire country.
