Can't cure companions petrification
So Seelah was petrified by a giant bug under Leper's smile cave and I can't unpetrify her. There's no one at camp that sells stone to flesh scroll & I can't use scroll of break enchantment aoe because her body disappeared.

What's up with that?

Some of your companions can learn stone to flesh to cure petrification. Not sure about scrolls, though.

Had the same thing happen here. Sounds like this is related to the discussion 'PSA: No Cure for Petrification at the moment.'

Seems like that is the main thread about it. I'm looking for other info, or if devs have mentioned that it will be addressed in the next patch.

Edit: I saw you can use "Alt+B" to submit a bug within the game. I did that for this too.

The petrification attack is a Gaze attack if i am not mistaken. Blind flight should make you immune to it. Stone to flesh if i recall is a high level spell so it seems dumb if the Cleric guy does not sell a scroll for you to use.

Resseruction should bring her back. although at 6000 gold peices its not cheap.

I was able to see her petrified body in Drezen where she would normally be. She wasn't there before. When I try to cast either Raise Dead or Resurrection on her it tells me that the character is not dead.

When I'm in the presence of the petrified character and cast Break Enchantment (affecting all allies in the 30 ft circle) it has no effect.

The priest outside the temple, and the barkeep at the tavern neither have a scroll or potion by the name of Stone to Flesh and none of my characters can cast level 6 spells.

If it is a character non being able to cast spell issue, you can still hire a mercenary to take care of that specific problem.

Right, I think I'd eventually be able to do that, but the thing is, even if I hired a merc right now for that reason, they wouldn't be high enough level to cast that specific spell.

I don't think it was the dev's intent for you to have a character be petrified for such a long period of time.

Mercs come at the same level as your party.

Correct, and nobody in the party is high enough level to know/cast a level 6 spell right now (Stone to Flesh) so the merc won't be able to either.

I plan to pick that spell with a member of my party when they become that level, but like I said, I don't think it's intended for me to have to wait that long to unpetrify another member of the party.

Edit: petrify -> unpetrify

In this instance I can justify save game editing to bump experience up enough to cast stone to flesh, especially since I am at a level where I should be able to fix it with break enchantment. The same method for save game editing kingmaker games works for Wrath games.

The cleric can do it for you, this is mentioned in loading screen hints but not explained.
If you equip the scroll on the character you need to use it on, and then go to the trade interface with the cleric, you can right click and use the scroll from that character's belt with auto success. This supposedly how the cleric reads that scroll for you.

Blind Fight is not making you immune to gaze attacks.
"In melee, every time you miss because of concealment, you can reroll your miss chance percentile roll one time to see if you actually hit."

Resurrection will bring the character back but it is not fixing stone state for some unknown reason. You need someone with Stone to Flesh (lvl 6 spell) in your group.

Not even Greater Restoration, Heal or Break Enchantment will fix it.

Hmm the guys discussing it here believe that it gives what you mentioned + Immunity to Gaze attacks.
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1184370/discussions/0/3044985412467300644/

Its actually mentioned in the text to give Immunity to any Gaze type of attack. Although it does not help OP to get blind fight right now (Its useful feat none the less for all the invisible enemies although that can be countered with See Invisible Communcal or True sight on the main fighters).

Anyway it sounds like an easy fix would be to give potions that give immunity to gaze attacks in the Drezen attack (Have the merchent guy available at the start of Drezen), and have him sell stone to flesh scrolls as well that can be cast by any caster/cleric/paladin/oracle. Should be a Level 4 spell to be honest. Sounds like a gameplay design bug, and the Resurrection scroll should undo petrification without the bugs like the other spell.

The element of 'Stone to Flesh' that a lot of people don't know is that it's not a divine spell, it's Arcane. Your cleric spell seller won't have it, nor will most of your divine casters. You might find it at the arcane seller? I haven't looked for it.

Nenio can learn it when she levels up if you don't have any scrolls. The only divine class that learns it is Shaman. Camelia and Ember could both learn it, but it would kinda suck to burn one of their limited spells known slots to get it. Woljif can also get it like Nenio, but he needs to be much higher level.

It does not in Tabletop, but it does in these computer games. Thats because Owlcat had no real valid way to give you an option to 'not look at the target' when fighting creatures with gaze attacks, so they made it default taht if you have blind fight, you can fight like that against targets with gaze without suffering the gaze effect. It was nearly required for your characters in endgame kingmaker due to the Wild Gaze effect from the Wyld Hunt creatures.
