Dual Wield Weapon Focus

So I've restarted again, I've not made it to level 4 with any class I've tried so far.

This time . . .

Ranger: Demonslayer with Two Weapon style at level 2.
Just reached level 3 and thinking of taking weapon focus.
Are there any recommendations for weapon focus?
I've found a flaming shortsword and the next best I've found are masterwork 1 hand weapons.

My furthest Save made 10 Hours into Act 4 and so far the most pravelent weapon type you find as loot in the world and on goons is the boring old Longsword.

If you're going to go with weapon focus you might as well just go a double bladed weapon. If you don't like the idea of double bladed weapons just weapon focus longsword since there are some good ones and you want dazzling display (dump feat) for shatter defenses anyways.

Also if you weapon focus longsword you should still have a "small" weapon like shortswords,dagger, kukri, etc in offhand or else you will have even worse penalties while dual wielding 2 longswords.

Shortswords also seem to be fairly well represented, so that's a perfectly viable off-hand option.

Then again, is weapon focus really worth it? Unless you have access to fighter feats it doesn't really offer a great deal.

Honestly there are a good number of Shortswords, and Daggers, especially pairs. Early on you can get a companion/sword that can morph into other weapons. That can help.

Weapon focus alone isn't worth it. But great weapon focus and mythic can add up A lot. And every melee characters should have shatter defenses which you need weapon focus into dazzling display for.
