The siege is to noisy I can't even hear myself think. Turnbased combat doesn't work because of above mentioned problem.
I shouldn't be constantly bombarded by sounds, spells and arrowfire while I'm planning my turns and yell at the incompetent companions for not doing what they are supposed to.
I have no clue how to defeat the giants and units appear out of thin air that I see but can't attack on the same turn. Meanwhile I'm distracted by fireballs and messy chunks of gore that sometimes are just decor, sometimes they damage my party.
The Half Orc Milf was right, this is futile, I'm out of here.
It got significantly better as I got closer to the centre of Drezen. Wider areas, less AOE, and the giants were too dead to hit me with siege weapons.
You're right about it being buggy though.
I get it, I've played 90% of the game in turn based. But for that battle I had to go real time, it just refused to co-operate in turn based. It was becoming pure agony and I just wanted to get past it. Fortunately most battles play well in turn based (tho granted turn based in this game is a bit glitchy at times, whereas real time runs flawless). You might want to run it in real time just to get past it and then go back to turn based after that.
That idiot Gnome just told me to assist, but not how?
No wonder I'm a god tier mythic if every single being around me is utterly incompetent and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy.
I would advise restarting, and killing Neinio, rather than switch to real time.
Start with the Hellknights. Go through the first few 2 fights. At this point the giants shouldn't be hitting you at all.
At this point point, approach the wall. There's an athletic check to climb the wall. Do it and the 2nd one. Now go up the ramparts and just keep killing till you get to the first giant. Go in the door, disarm the trap (you can ignore the switch if you want, it just opens the gate and I find you get more xp by killing the monsters that spawn when you batter the gates down). Now go through the other door and kill the giant there and his buddies.
ALTERNATIVELY, if you have the vascavor goo and don't mind being a bit of a ♥♥♥♥, you can do that and then only have to deal with the first giant. Not really worth it though unless you want to eventually...well....do some bad things.
