RPG Game of the year 2021
So far the best rpg this year. It should be rewarded. Maybe if they release Baldur's Gate 3 this year, Pathfinder will then have a second place. Im' pretty sure BG 3 will be much better but still, Pathfinder WofR is damn good rpg worth every penny.

In that case 2021 has been very poor year for cRPGs...

Would be the best, if it wasnt a bug filled game. I love the game, but it needs another year probably until the gamebreaking bugs are out.

Same opinion - I have ~130 hours in, multiple parties (for the legend paths I'm interested in) and having a blast. While it might be buggy for some folks, I haven't encountered anything serious yet, so I'm quite happy with the game.

Definately for me the best cRPG in a long while (loving games like NWN, Pillars of Eternity, ATOM, Pathfinder..).

Ehhhh..... BG3 is not better, no. Wrath takes first place for all the years since Kingmaker's release.

Kinda has.... Which good crpgs (that are actually released so no beta, EA or such) are out there?

Why do you think BG 3 will be better?
Thunderborn Sep 16, 2021 @ 2:17am
Baldurs does not have the complexity that Wrath has. People do not realize how much each individual mythic path changes the whole game some of it is like mind blowing. You have to have played through multiple paths to even realize that because the story changes somewhat. Also take in account the evil and good alignment changes in story there just is a bunch of multiple paths in this game that I am sure makes bug checking a bit harder. Just those reasons alone I am giving them a bit slack with the bug stuff.
I have 400 hours in beta I know it doesnt show.

Yeah - playing e.g. Aeon vs. Azata is _completely_ different, not just some different colors / changed dialogue lines. The amount of work of the whole team in those too alone is astonishing. They have all their own integration into the world, being it story-wise or even integration into the different locations.

Who are they even contending against? cant think of many cRPGs that came this year, and Early access ones don't count.
RPG´s overall? Hmm i dont know there chef, maybe?

Bg3 obviously better. Its on freaking early access and it performs allready better than pathfinder release. In addition better funds and its Larian tip my hat to them with the quality they produce.

Still beats getting suckered into the hype and paying 60 €'s for a game that barely works. I got buyer's remorse from Kingmaker and so far WoTR just seems to be more of the same.
