How did you guys beat it?

It seems once it's burrowed, it doesnt go back up. Also it eats all of your melee units in a single attack. Hold monster works sometimes but as soon as you miss its lost.

Any other tricks to stop it from burrowing? Or just pure luck?

Huh, I just kept wailing at it. First attempt it burrowed and didn't get up again. Saw someone mention that happens if it eats a pet.

After reload, it stayed up the whole battle and didn't eat anyone. I've just had to spam tripple-positive energy a lot since it damaged the whole frontline, but otherwise I've just whittled it down.

I just fought it, i think it glitched out and stayed under, reloaded.

Turn the difficulty to game journalist mode unless you want to wait for the "never surface" bug to be fixed

Dont really want to lose the Core+ achievement. Welp I guess its cross fingers or just skip Sosiel's quest. Boring character anyway.

You need to keep the worm engaged in melee and have damaged done in melee every turn, to prevent her burrowing. Also you need to win the initiative roll(so something to improve that roll is advisable).

Its funny, I had to offer my fighters one by one to it, luckily summons work.

It's bugged. I failed to kill it quickly enough in RTwP. I managed to kill it in turn based mode. It seems like it won't burrow in TB - or at least in my case.

First time it burrowed and was in TB. The second time used summons to surround the worm in melee use haste and then managed to kill him before the worm burrowed.

Touch Spells, his Touch AC is pretty weak xD Just Engage him Meele and Nuke him in 1-2 Rounds xD

vinetrap worked for me. though beign azata path helped landing it.

I rushed one character behind it - the swallow whole mechanic seems to have an arc. I also sent warriors in waves. Lots of summons, too. Plus Aru and Lan as uber archers.
