trying to use mods? Broken loading screen?

Coming back to the game after starting rogue trader and feeling the itch for WOTR instead. Reinstalled fresh, installed UMM so I could download some of my favorite older mods, as well as some new ones. I don't recall having any issues before, but now for the life of me I cannot get the game to work with any mods installed. I boot the game up, and it gets stuck at 2/3 loading screen and stops.

anyone else having this issue? anyone know how I might fix? or has the latest patch broken all mods and need to just wait it out till they get updated?

make sure you are using the latest version of UMM 0.31.0
make sure you have downloaded all of the latest versions of the mods.

recomend you use ModFinder for Wrath, to keep all mods up to date, also makes it easy to install / un-install mods.

Yeah its up to date, and I even installed the modFinder, but even the ModFinder says "failed to update UMM state. Make sure UMM is installed" which makes me wonder if the UMM was installed to the correct location, but I followed the video on its mod page, so I'm sure I did it right.. Gah, what a mess

There are two ways to initialize the install of UMM: via DoorstopProxy or Assembly. Depending on your OS (such as Mac and Linux), the Assembly method will be the one you need. Don't forget to select Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous from the drop down menu.

If that still doesn't work, check if you have the needed Net Framework and/or mono version installed.
