LOL even after re-install i still cannot get the game to load
it just sits at 66 percent (also probably unrelated to my previous issue) Oh and the pinned fix doesn't work cause the folder in question has nothing in it

Delete your old mods. They aren't deleted when you delete/redownload the game.

then it is not loading or something did not get installed correctly, uninstall, clean your registry and trashcan, reboot the pc, and re-install, be sure it has full admin access to all folders needed to install the game and any dependencies needed.

clean my registry? how? Its bizarre, the game remembers my settings but the C drive setting files don't exist? i dunno what I need to delete to get it to not re-download them

Turn off antivirus and windows defender, maybe they don't allow the game to put the files there? Also why doesn't the file verification work? It should, in theory.

the verification simply completes as if nothing is wrong with the game, i recently had to re-install windows due to a problem with my User folder but I dunno why the game can't just put the files back where they need to be, also the fix of deleting the files in C drive doesn't work precisely because that folder is always empty no matter how many times i attempt to re-install, dunno how Im supposed to force it to put those files back in the folder

Screen settings are in the registry. You can delete the entire Steam folder and it wouldn't remove the settings. You'd have to delete Windows to delete that file, which i would strongly advise against. You clearly don't have the computer literacy to handle this if you don't even know what we're talking about.

Also, are you sure you're deleting the files from the right folder? It has to be the user you're currently logged into Windows as, otherwise it won't do anything. If you re-installed Windows, that might not even be on drive c:\.

why would the game put resolution settings in the registry lol i think i worded that wrong, secondly I cannot delete files that do not exist when the game installs

It just sits there with the music, because it has experience an unhandled error which in 98% reflected at the last entry of the log

how do I access the log?
kaymarciy Nov 30, 2024 @ 8:17am
It is autogenerated on each game start into the folder which they tell you to clean
AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous
Relevant files are GameLog and Player.log

IF you don't know what you're doing DO NOT CLEAN YOU REGISTRY. Terrible advice.

yeah its not generating the log, in fact those folders never appear in my User folder, now here is the oddball part, both the locallow and the local folders exist and Baldur's gate 3 for example is using the local folder without issue, but Owlcat Games' folder never shows up in either of these, sometimes it shows up in the temp folder but its always empty there and the folders vanish when i try to access them as if i deleted them even though I didn't
