Problem recruiting mercenaries for my army
In Drezen, looking at my army tab I can recruit my new weekly allowance of footmen and archers, which I've done. I also have two batches of mercs supposedly available, some clerics and some Hellknights, displayed in the lower left panel under the standard troops. I click on these mercs and I get a popup with a big fat "Recruit" button I can click. I have sufficient finance points on hand. Everything looks good. But I click the button and exactly nothing happens. The recruit button looks activate, it's not greyed out or anything.

Why can't I hire these mercs?

If the army you are recruiting onto is maxed out usually 3/3 (can be more with a general) then it won't let you recruit troops. Move your armies off drezen then recruit.

Oh, I think I've got you.

You mean I take it that you will always have an army on the right of the screen and it must either a) already have a stack of the same unit type the new mercs can be added to or b) have spare slot available to create a new stack in.

I think I might have had this happen before on the road to Drezen but didn't remember this one :steamfacepalm:

Sounds right. And if you moved all your armies off of drezen you would just be creating a new army because zero of the slots on the right would be filled.
