My Chain Discharge is not chaining

Hi, I continued an old save from 2 years ago where I started an Elemental Rampager that chooses the electric rampage feat. It says that starting from level 11 that the lightning damage part is supposed to chain to 2 additional targets but its not doing it. I see the lightning effect on hit part, It shows the lightning damage roll on the combat log but its not damaging adjacent enemies....
I tried using rampage while in wild shape and without. I even though that maybe my old save is carrying some weird bug from 2 years ago, so i respect my entire build but it didnt work.

Am I just misunderstanding how its supposed to work, kinda going crazy here.

I just tested the build on another save with the same result, I dont know whats going on. Google shows me multible people claiming how fun the chaining is but somehow its not working for me. I am at a complete loss

I would definitely report it, and try to be accurate. There are a great deal of new bugs so they will be looking through reports as they create a subsequent patch.

I know. I'm sorry man. Have you tried rebuilding the character on Inevitable Excess? You have to go through feats selection and mythic selection, but you can see if perhaps it is because it is an older save. Sometimes the new patches don't apply all the updates to old saves in their entirety, and a few things slip through the cracks.

The way this is worded makes me think of an older save, so if you already tried my advice I apologize for making a useless suggestion.

Try retraining as well. That may fix the bug, although I wouldn't hold out hope.

Its all good, im really glad for the advices.
I started a new run a few weeks ago that reached act 3 before i switched to my old save, I respect that character there and used Toybox to level it to 20 and tried if its working but no luck.
Dont get me wrong, my character is not weak and I am playing on normal difficulty, but the whole gimmick of my build is gone and its a bit sad.

I havent played that DLC yet and i am a bit affraid of getting spoiled just to try if the build is working.

I just did a quick test on this, using the 'start at lvl 20' of inevitable excess DLC. AFAICT, the OP is correct, the chain part of the elemental strike is not happening. I tried with Dragon ED just for kicks, and you get the damage converted to holy, and occurring on all your attacks, but again, no chaining.
Given the existence of the shifter class, loosing the chain part of this archtype kinda robs it of its reason for existing.

make sure ya'll put in a report in game for them to see it....

thats what the devs on here would say at least.....

im sure a combination of that and this post might highlight it enough for them to fix it sometime soon...
