Depends on the stage of the game and the difficulty too. If we're very early on I'd probably take Daeran, a bit later when Nenio has selective casting I'd probably take Nenio, and last but not least when Ember has access to a few hexes (evil eye, protective luck, cackle), I'd probably take her.
Difficulty wise Nenio stops being as useful because of the increased resistances if you play on unfair I find where-as the heals and the hexes stay useful (more the hexes).
EDIT: The first party I finished the game with (on core) had all 3 of them, Seelah (levelled as a bard), Arushalae and my Oracle Angel MC. It worked pretty nicely. Now I'd probably go with Seelah (Paladin), Camellia, Ember, Sosiel and <your choice but strongly consider a skald mercenary if you haven't got access to one>.
Need divine buffs and heals? Daeran.
Need haste and other arcane utilities? Nenio.
Otherwise, pick Ember.
Divine magic can be covered by Sosial or Camillia, so no need for Daeran.
Dearan if you need a divine caster, you can drop him if you are planning to use Sosiel or your MC is a divine caster.
Ember if you need a nuker. If you don't/already have a way to target touch AC, then you can drop her.
I don't like Nenio, don't see a point of using her, sans Wierd/PK spam. Her quest also sucks ass.
Daeran is so good at healing (with mythic abilities) it's almost hacks. If you need heals, take him. If not, then *shrug* Sosiel can serve as your healer, but I prefer my healers to be out of harm's way, not up in melee/reach range.
Nenio is my buffer. All the stat buffs, Mass. +4 to every stat for every party member? Yes please. I find her buffs to be invaluable, unless I'm playing a wizard (mythic class buffs might also do, but I haven't played angel yet).
the penalty is only for weapons, which you wont be using with ember anyway, except for quarterstaves to get bonuses. 'burned' actually makes her ideal for a nuker since she gets a bunch of free spells on certain levels and of course hellfire ray. if you think daeran's healing is hacking, you should experience ember on 15+ level with abundant casting/ascendant element (fire) and few metamagic rods literally oneshotting bosses on core at least
Give daeran the red salamander ring and he gets the same spells. Add the flame mystery via mythic and he gets Firestorm at spell level 7. Arguably his stats also make him a superior nuker to Ember, plus he can heal.
As for Daeran and Ember...it is a difficult question. It most often comes down to roleplay, Good vs Evil etc. Imo, Daeran is more well rounded while Ember has Hellfire Ray and Hexes. I'd take Ember for Turn Based and Daeran for RTwP(Hex maintenance is just a pain in RTwP). I also think that D is better in general while E is better for important battles(Playful, Vavanga etc are simply asking for Hex + Hellfire Ray to the face).
