That and in the long run a -2 STR malus isn't going to break a martial either way.
id love to hear some clever tech people have come up with to make it more convenient but when i tried it it was at best overly tedious to use and at worst just a downgrade.
If youre making a full attack in melee and your target enemy dies the game automatically makes your melee char target something else with the rest of his swings so you get full value out of your full attack, in rtwp they will even do microsteps to do this, even with AI off (which can actually be annoying at times). Lets say youre in an optimal situation where you have enough reach (and/or character features) to disengage safely. Well if youre not close enough to other enemies at the same time you actually just lose a bunch of attacks. A lot of latergame enemies are also fairly large and they obviously dont always nicely line up or form half circles.
Its definitely doable and i think drunkenmaster now has a feature that allows him to completely ignore AOOs if i remember correctly but is it really worth it?
You fight sooo much in this game and adding (significantly) more micro to every combat round is pretty tedious. Id love to hear solutions to this but i dont see it. Its just too much work. The reward is good but attached to a hefty opportunity cost with features that do absolutely nothing when youre not charging. its probably worth it if you can tolerate the additional tedium, i cant.
