Drimo (spoilers for the arena of the Dance of Masks DLC) A bug?

So... my main killed Drimo and was supposed to be hit by the curse. Instead, Camellia got hit and instantly died despite having a last stand (and the party has just rested). The only thing the poor girl has done was to evil eye Drimo... I don't think anything other than last stand that could protect my main from dying. Unless the death curse was classified as a mind affecting affect, which clearly, it is not.

Anybody having experience like that?

Not sure is has anything to do with who hit last. My only time doing that fight the curse hit my healer (who would normally just spam cantrips). Unless it was stupid luck that 1d3 damage triggered the effect, it might be random. Same deal though, last stand did not trigger and all I saw was someone getting hit for 1000 damage
