Mythic Armor Focus Assault not working!
My damage report shows that my Mythic Armor Focus Assault damage is non-existent. Is this a bug, has anyone else experienced this, is there something I have to do to activate it?!

What armor are you wearing? keep in mind Mythrial armor is considering one tier lower then the actual armor so if you are using a Mythrial heavy armor you need Medium armor assault not heavy.

I dont think focus shield "flying shield" is working either.

Mithral type is super confusing because hte in game description and feat requirements don't always match up.

Mithral Heavy Armor is considered Medium armor for some requirements but not all. You still need Heavy Armor proficiency to be able to wear it which is super confusing. Also the armor still states it is Heavy Armor even though Heavy Armor feats don't work with it.

All in all, Mithral is a mess in this game in terms of how it informs the player on what you need for it and what works with it.

In NWN2 Mithral would actually lower the armor type. So the game would read it as Medium armor and a character with only Medium Armor proficiency would be able to wear it. Much better.

You need to be wearing the type of armor that you have armor focus in.

The assault version also only triggers on melee attack (so not with spells or bows)

Others have mentioned it but I came across the same thing. Turns out that it was just mithral armor.

The rules on mithral armor: it's the same class category as the original when we want it to count for certain things and it's a category lighter when we decide it's not. Wouldn't be an issue for tabletop because it's based on armor type, not category of armor.

It does nothing unfortunately. Even though it shows the buff icon on your team.

The Flying shield bonus is still a "shield" bonus to AC, so it doesn't stack with other shield bonuses. So if the party already has shield bonuses (such as from equipped shields or from the shield spell), they'll use whatever is highest for them which is probably not the flying shield. This assumes the flying shield is working.

And like armor focus, the shield focus mythic requires equipping the appropriate shield type for the character with the ability.

No I mean it literally does nothing. Even on someone with no shield bonus.

Well, then it isn't working.

hmm...says it gives a shield bonus to AC to allies within 15ft. And it only works for bucklers, so that's like just +1 AC for allies within 15ft....even if it was working, doesn't seem worthwhile, personally.

In the version before the patch it would give a shield bonus in 15 feet that was
1 for buckler + up to 5 for enhancement + 1 for shield focus +1 for greater shield focus for a total up to +8.

Before the patch it would, randomly not register. In particular, for the horse you were riding. After the patch it seems to always register but not give the bonus.

The distance is better than you'd think. Like I mentioned above, you can see who's 'affected' by the buff icon that appears when they're in range of the person with the feat. It just doesn't give any actual bonus. Either on character sheet or on combat log.

As for the bonus, if it were working, according to the description, it would be equal to the buckler's AC (So +3 if it were a +2 Buckler) So it would be decent unless your melee team used shields. So less useful unless you plan around it.

It's a great mythic for a support.

I usually take in my party Brown Fur Transmuter - and she has not enough spell cast to do anything useful after buffing whole party. So, from worthless she became very valuable after Owlcat added flying buckler mythic. It just requires 1 feat to be proficient with bucklers and 1 for shield focus.

It gives +5 shield bonus to whole party at huge distance at 12 lvl, and it goes up to +7 shield bonus later in the game. Normal shield spell gives +4 shield bonus. And Magical Vestment spell becomes useful again.

Yea it was pretty cool how you could craft mithral full plate and trow it on a character that only as medium armor proficiency or buy the mithrial scale mail in port last and trow it on a warlock.
