Enigma Final Battle Bug - Potential Spoilers (Solved)
Hello. At the end of Enigma, you beat the projection of the demon and then head through the door to the top of the pyramid for the final boss battle. The battle is in phases. In the second phase, mobs spawn in. This is when the problem begins.

For some reason, the mobs jump off the edge of the pyramid which bugs the game. It freezes turn-based mode. You can transition to real time and back to keep going. But, after you kill all the mobs that didn't suicide, the third phase of the battle does not begin because the game does not recognize the suicides as deaths. You are just stuck there. At the top of the pyramid. With rotating traps.

About a year ago someone posted the same problem in a Reddit bugs section. The only answer was to try to prevent the mobs from jumping off the edge. I tried to eliminate all fear effects and tried this. It doesn't seem possible. They still jump and I can't stop them all.

Therefore, I am stuck. I can just try to make a deal with the demon but then I lose Nenio (I think). Plus I need the Midnight Bold shard (because I was soft-hearted at the end of the Midnight Isle DLC).

Would love a solution to this problem. Thank you all.

Edit: Went back and tried again. Confirmed that if you manage to kill the adds in phase 2 before they can jump, especially the snake ladies, the fight will progress as normal.

hmm...been doing enigma recently, but I'm not quite to that point. Will let you know.

I have had many odd turn based issues there, in enigma, though not yet what you describe.

Side note, is there a quest for enigma? I just showed up at the ruins, put some masks on statues and jumped into the portal. I'm not following a quest. Nenio hasn't been in this party for a while...I revived an old save file of mine and apparently I don't have any companions at all, aside from the undead ones.

That's a very annoying bug.

I did not encounter it in Enigma (or anywhere at all), but some players on Reddit encountered such bug with Lann's quest - with mongrels at the entrance in Savamelekh's lair. Mongrels would fall through the map out of bounds, and exited combat. The game then still thinks that you did not kill them, so the quests will not progress. The only solution was to kill all with Toybox, as soon as fight starts.

Hmm...so killed all but 2, who did and I used the enter/exit to get past, which worked. Killed the demon lord with the midnight bow. But now there's no exit...and the traps plate things just keep going so I'm taking damage...

you think it's those suicides?

Yes. In the Reddit bugs forum a person said he had to keep doing the fight until he managed to stop any mob from jumping. Then it worked. I'm just not sure I'll be able to do that. I have good initiative and everything but all it takes is one.

I did enigma yesterday but I was playing real time with pause. The fight did bug out on me but in a different way, phase 1 was normal but in phase 2 I had copies of Areshkagal who did not do anything but the other enemies acted kinda normal. After killing the normal enemies i was able to proceed to phase 3 as normal.

I just reached the Areshkagal fight, and got the same bug as the OP.

One of the marilith mummys jumped off the pyramid and its round never ends. The issue cannot be fixed by switching to real time since the fight will not progress to the next phase.

Tried again, but this time I generated more summons and deliberately engaged all the minions ASAP. Still no clue if it's the suicides, but they didn't try this time and was able to bypass the bug and finish the engima zone.

I just did the boss fight (forgot how much I hate Enigma lol) and didn't have this happen, thankfully. but I don't play in turn based mode, so maybe that's why? Glad you were able to get past it, though.
