Sohei/Trickster Build Advice
Hi everyone, thinking of doing a reach fauchard build with Sohei 11 for flurry and Trickster mythic for crit feats. No sure what class for the remaining levels (Gendarme?)

Would this have any issues alignment wise considering I won't be able to select monk levels after a certain point (I'm hoping I'll be able to get to 11)?

Thanks in advance

I've played (an play) a lot of Monks in that way (usually going to Legend after Trickster) and can tell you, that it's definitely possible to reach level 11 before you have to switch your alignment. As for remaining levels... I absolutely prefer mixing my (Dex) Monks with Rogue-classes - no matter if it's pure Rogue, Assassin, Duelist, Vivisectionist... they just synergize so well and become insanely power- and useful.

That's good to know, I'm guessing you'd go boon companion if you're not taking a class which levels up your pet

If you don't want a horse pet with Sohei you can pick a different class for level 1. I did a Hunter/Sohei build that gives a wolf. Sohei only get horse, but if you already have a pet it will just keep that one and level it up through Sohei.

I've done this a few times. I've tried it with Vivisectionist for added sneak damage, and mutegines. Or Mutated warrior for more feats and a mutegine. A single level in Cavalier Beast Rider is nice for a tankier mount. I'm not sure they'll provide a lot more than that. You might find Slayer a good option instead of Vivisectionist, or Inquisitor Sanctified Slayer if you want to keep your mount maxed out (pick a deity that includes animal domain)

I don't use pets (I usually use the standard Monk or a Drunken Master), but yes... if you want to use the pet, then Boon Companion is probably the way to go, even though it just adds 4 levels (but perhaps there is a Mythic version of it, too - I don't know).
