Greybor/Dragon Hunt, Is there an actual ticking clock?
I have a question about keeping Greybor in the party during the early parts of the quest "The dragon hunt". How literal is his claim he has another job coming in soon? Is there a ticking clock of in game days, or is it just keyed to story advancement, where If I complete the wrong quest or go the wrong location, he leaves.

This is my second playthrough, I know proper management of "the dragon hunt" let's you keep him for good, I'm just concerned with how urgently I have to complete that quest.

No time limit iirc, just the story advancement i think that can break the quest

If you don't recruit him before getting to military 4 council you miss out on the best mounted crusade unit.

While You will have no problems in winning any crusade battle without having one hedge knight.

But You want Greybor, because he´s a unique companion - and You´re a completionist, while You would rarely use him - if You use him at all...

If i remember right there was only one other thing about quest order, which let´s You miss out on some secondary character. So it basically doesn´t really matter, if You´re not a completionist and want to safe as many people as possible for the sake of it.

And the only time limit is in the first chapter with the defense, and certain quests about that. If i remember that right. As this was the one thing owlcat addressed when people complained about all the hidden timers in kingmaker. Ofc people also complained about the swarms which would wipe Your party, but therefore You have now a couple of "optional encounters" on any map, while You find out that they´re optional, when they wiped Your party and You reload the game...
