Issue an order that will allow Irabeth to spend more time among the common soldiers

How do I assue that order at Drezen? Can't see an option for that anywhere.

It's a decree. Manage crusade affairs (big table in your Drezen headquarters) - Decrees tab - Orders to Irabeth. It takes 7 days to complete.

What if I've got crusade on story mode?

Looks like that shouldn't matter as long as you still have Crusade Automode set to Off. Can't verify myself, though.

I think if you switch the crusade to off then you can't finish the part where you have her spend time among the common soldiers. It is the price to pay for not having to play a mini game that I don't like that can add like 10-30 hours of playtime. Did it the first run then never again.

Just to clarify for the OP ...

"Crusade off" is the same as turning the "Crusade automode" option to on. As for the second part, I thought various decrees would still complete but you have no control as to when. But, I have no experience with auto crusade, so I don't actually know.
