I....Actually agree with this one.
Not in such harsh words, but... Yeah.
DnD 5e and PF 2e are not exactly what I want to see in tabletop and in videogames.
That said, my favourite one will still be starfinder. And I hope after rogue trader, owlcat seriously considers a starfinder game since SF1e is now finished and won't get anymore updates after may 2024 (scoured stars would be the most logical adventure, unless the new mechaggedon is crazy good, because mechs are awesome).
This. Throw them both in the hole 4e is in.
I'm with you. That being said I think people that like PF2e should have a game they can play. But we're all in a small minority if we're not playing what's popular so we have to wait for the odd company that also likes this "arcane" stuff.
You're answering someone that's using an animated kawai-girl avatar for their profile picture ... they have no friends ... and yes, I'm using a Sephiroth picture for my profile, I'm an expert in this regard
With how good foundryvtt is for PF2e, there is no issue finding people online and playing with them.
It's not the 90' anymore, tabletop is no harder to play than online games.
Having said that, I really enjoyed the 3 action economy system and the reduction in combat and skill modifiers.
I am in an 8 person campaign that has a mix of RP and combat. I do kinda like how streamlined some things are with the action economy. At the same time, I do miss some of the numbers crunch. 2E is certainly better than 5e, but it isn't as terrible as some people make it out to be.
Part of me wonders if some complaining are just upset they cannot have there class with 3 dips just to have huge numbers at level 3. It can be fun, but sometimes it's nice being able to make a character without needing 3 different source books to make someone that will be optimal in combat (and this is coming from someone who played a lot of 3.5).
If I said what I want to say whenever someone brings up PF2, I'd probably be banned :P
That's how I was banned in BG3 forums more than once, so I know how it feels :))
