They go PF2 and I'm out.

I play PF1 because it was a continuation of 3.5. I'm willing to bet there's a fair amount of us out there.

And you know what? I've looked at PF2, and I think it's ♥♥♥♥.

I'm in the same boat. PF1 is my jam.

Same, as I've said before: If you think unimaginative cookie cutter "meta" builds that the community will rage at you about if you dare deviate from them are bad in PF1, wait until you get a load of PF2.

Whenever I see some....person....say something like "i WaNTz pF2" my blood just boils.

I also have to think about what I type because if I said what I want to say I'd probably get banned.

I really hope next game will use the PF2 system cause it is so bland you don´t have to think

in case some don't check the News section: first 6 archetypes were revealed

Of note is Bloodseeker. An Slayer archetype modeled after Vampire Hunter D with a homebrew Vampire Bloodline? Seems interesting to me.

Fingers crossed the Living Grimoire's tome isn't archetype locked. I'd love for my spellcasters to equip weaponized tomes with firepower.

I want Drunken Monk Seelah now.

Can characters drink now? Did I miss something in my [partial] playthroughs? :steamfacepalm:

Read the archetype description. Its a drunken monk 'feature.'

A higher level one, yes. Which hints at that a low level Drunken Master would still require to chuck bottled up booze. WotR has like 15 or so alcoholic beverages ingame. So the item distribution part is actually covered. Would be fun if Owlcat did make the misc items usable by the Drunken Master. :)

He was asking about drinking booze not making booze. Presumably drinking booze is a class feature right from the start.

Instances of the MC (and others) drinking booze via dialogue options were always in the game. Now Owlcat presumably changes the already existing alcoholic misc items into consumables as well. Otherwise the archetype wouldn't function.

The question is whether or not non-Drunken Masters will be able to take a sip as well. Preferable with applying drunkness as a debuff. Would be interesting for RP.

Last bundle of 5 archetypes was revealed:

Disappointed that the new weapon type is part of the sword family. Again. One would think 12 sword types in the game would be enough already. *sigh*

You can read about the archetypes in the library on steam Mostly they just add variety to already existing classes New types of magus, that seems akin to Moorcock's Elric, a warpriest and a new god for same, a Hippogryph riding ranger a new archanist type. A kineticist ranged specialist that might be interesting Then there is the drunken master a vampiric slayer, a new inquisitor, a skald and a very dangerous bard.

Just remember there exist more than 100 varieties of swords in the world. And they range in length between about 2 and 6ft and a lot of that doesn't include a whole crap load of stuff that is generally class as knives or daggers but is only slightly shorter.

And now we have 13 sword varieties and 5 dagger types on top of that. Hence my disappointment: introducing the sawtoothed sabre adds just more of the same with a slightly altered blade.

Personally, I find that's a missed opportunity which stole the chance for something truly unique amongst the weapon roster. Like the spiked chain, whip, bolas, or scizore. Things like that.
