Natural attack Demon -> Gold Dragon build suggestions
Hello, I'm currently going for a 'good' Demon playthrough that eventually becomes a GD. I'm thinking of doing a build focused on natural attacks. Any class suggestions?

I'm currently a Fiendflesh Shifter, Tiefling, Motherless. Maybe Hag-riven bloodrager dip?

Note: not playing on Unfair, playing on core with death's door and additional enemy behaviors turned on

I mean fiendflesh tiefling motherless shifter with hag-riven bloodrager dip who opts in for demon sounds like the incarnation of the good guy already. I´m unsure what else to add. Pimp or mass murderer background would fit, but unfortunately it´s not in the game...

Lmao XD. I'm planning a redemption/rejection arc RP. Btw Fiendflesh shifter is similar to reformed fiend (hatred against evil creatures) without the alignment restriction so it fits well thematically.

Fiendflesh Shifter is thematically disimilar to Reformed Fiend. Mainly because it's supposed to be THE Evil-only Shifter[www.d20pfsrd.com] archetype. Their unique aligment restriction not being properly reflected ingame is itself an unfortunate bug.

You're probably already aware that an actual good aligned Demon won't work out, aligment restriction-wise. Staying in the Neutral field's best you can get. As for class: Shifter in general is great for your natural attack purpose. It's a class that doesn't need dips to take off.

I don't think it's a bug, rather a rework to fit in the campaign against demon. The description from the TT is pact-forged from dark powers while in the game it's the worldwound's corruption transforming your body and now you use your curse to fight the abyss. Even the description (and function) of the Infernal Claws change. In TT it's " ...infused with the unholy power of the evil Outer Planes. At 1st level, a fiendflesh shifter’s claws are treated as evil weapons..." while in the game it's " ...infused with the rage at her creator from the evil outer planes. At 1st level, a fiendflesh shifter’s claws overcome damage reduction of any evil outsiders."

I'm aware it's self-sabotage, I'm not playing on hard/unfair so i don't really care much for min-maxing. I'm just doing this for RP. I wanted some class suggestions for natural attacks

That angle would hold water if the Fiendflesh Shifter had only the powers of demons ingame. Since the corruption stems solely from the Abyss. But the archetype retains its tabletop archetype's flexibility of shifting into both Devil Aspect and Daemon Aspect in addition to the Demon's. Which makes me believe the new description was just an afterthought. And the standard Shifter alignment restriction being just a copy-paste bug rather than really intended.

Owlcat changed the Infernal Claws DR due to the lack of good-aligned hostile encounters. Though even that change was kinda "off". A more appropriate homebrew change would be to switch the Shifter's natural attacks into evil and law-infused weapons. Making them true to the feature's name. Or rename it into Fiend Claws with a toggle to switch between law, evil and chaos claw enhancements. At least that way the claws would be thematically relevant for all three aspects.
