They get hit even harder with spell availability. But they make up for that in other ways. Still not an easy class to use early game.
also on the character class details it should show you when and what levels you gain spells if you hover over the icons... the tab with the chart that shows what levels unlock what...
There is also gear which can increase spells. One of which is Dark Omen (you can get this in the tavern at the beginning of the game) which adds necromancy spells for spontaneous casters such as sorcerers.
There are +charisma headband you can find or buy.
If you want to increase your level fast. At difficulty option. Turn on "only active companions receive experience".
Since you want new spells asap, how about playing as wizard? You can buy scrolls and then learn the spells through the scrolls.
there kinda is a way to increase spells as a sorcerer....
rings like red salamander ring for instance have a bunch of spells on it....
red salamander
If the wearer of this ring has the ability to cast spells spontaneously, it grants them the ability to cast the following spells: fireball, controlled fireball, firesnake, hellfire ray, fire storm, and fiery body. To cast a spell, the wearer still needs to have a spell slot of the required level.
which means while wearing that ring those spells are added to your spellbook.... AND you can apply metamagic to them.... AND after you apply metamagic to them you can remove the ring and still get to keep the spell in your spellbook... so even when you level up as a crossblooded sorcerer and dont get your 6th level spell as a normal sorcerer... that ring would give you a 6th level spell hellfire ray you could cast since you still have the ability to cast 6th level spells just not able to learn the first one you normally would....
plus there is a staff in Act 3 later on you can get through crusades... plague of madness staff.... when you cast the same spell like 3 times in a row every subsequent cast after that will be both empowered AND maximized.... so taking something like favorite metamagic bolster mythic feat to reduce bolster to costing 0 when applied.... you could put bolster and heighten on say level 2 scorching ray to slot into spells level 2 through 5.... and hellfire ray from spell levels 6 to 9.... just base class alone not counting attributes you get 6 spells per level by 20th level.... so that would mean at minimum 24 scorching rays and 24 hellfire rays you could chain cast... with staff you can proc the effect with cantrips before the fight with something like spamming a buff cantrip a couple of times.... so your first damage spell would be bolstered, empowered, maximized... then use something like sorcerous reflex to cast 2 spells in first turn after opening fight... and pretty much by round 2 if your using same spell you could be doing every cast of same spell bolstered, empowered, and maximized....
so yeah... if you wanna play a sorcerer... dont pass up on metamagic... its the best way to make more use of your spells..... especially with heighten... you might know little amount of spells.... but you can take something like haste and slap metmagic heighten on it to slot it from levels 3 to 9 on spellbook and have up to 42 minimum amount of times to cast it by 20th level... or maybe grease with heighten?.... 1 to 9.... thats 54 greases... point is metamagic allows you to always have damage, buffs, and CC at your fingertips pretty much as long as you have spells per day available...
In Blackrock there is a bracer that gives spontaneous casters access to pretty much every electricity spell.
So spontaneous casters have a lot of flexiibility in WotR.
Once you start getting mythic ranks if you are planning on doing a blaster type sorcerer you are going to want to get the ability that doubles the number of spells per day for certain spell levels (1-3rd for the 1st, 4-6th for the 2nd, 7-9th for the third rank of the ability).
it doesnt double... it only gives 4 extra spells per day for each spell level..... base sorcerer without counting attributes would be able to cast 6 spells per day per spell level by end game.... attributes of course make that number higher... so those 3 mythic feats would make is so minimum number of spells you'd be able to cast is 10..... instead of 6...
I cant remember.... but I know that higher difficulty gives more xp.... but not sure if its because of increase of number of enemies or not...
