it is as it is, you probably need a medium armor feat then, or wear a non-mythril armor for heavy, that should work
By RAW that is how it works. Mithril makes it count as Medium.
No, that is not how it works by RAW. It says "for purposes of movement and other limitations".
Armor focus meanwhile says
So it's pretty clear that Armor Focus is basically proficiency+, and any changes related to proficiency are explicitly excluded from the mithral keyword effects. At the very least, it should be obvious that Armor Focus is not related to movement or other limitations.
Otherwise, what even is mithral heavy armor? It really takes a special kind of thinking to seriously say that requiring Heavy proficiency and Medium focus is okay, even considering it's Pathfinder we are talking about.
Ironically, Mythic Medium Armor - Endurance suddenly becomes pretty good, if it is based on mithral fullplate. In order to get even with it while wearing non-mithral heavy armor you'd have to have some extreme strength values, which is the sort of minmaxing that not everyone enjoys.
So it seems Owlcat broke and fixed some stuff at the same time here.
Ok, thank you for the correction.
So, fullplate benefits from Armor Focus: Fullplate in TT, regardless of material. That makes sense.
Owlcat's implementation as of recent patches doesn't.
