The other Treasure thing is a roguelike abomination that we dont talk about. It can be played on its own, with zero connection to the main game, and as an optional dungeon within the main game, that you will absolutely regret ever entering, should you do so.. It has no real story connection to the game. Its more to test youre mettle, and possibly gain gear.. This game floods you with gear, so its not worth it imho to play Midnight Isles.. ever..
Completing Through the Ashes does give you an item reward in the main campaign that you pick up early on. And Lord of Nothing opens a new dungeon in Act 5. Besides those things however, they are pretty much independent of the main story. Both Through the Ashes and Lord of Nothing are about an entirely different group of adventurers.
Treasure of the Midnight Isles provides a quest line and dungeon you can access from acts 2 - 5 I think. It's good, but it is more of a big sidequest. You do get some good items and lots of XP from it, but it's entirely optional. As I recall, you can also obtain an additional certain very specific item needed for a very specific ending of the main campaign, but you can still achieve this ending without it, so it's not strictly necessary for you to get this particular one. The DLC also provides a separate roguelike mode with no link to the main game.
Inevitable Excess, it gives you a unique ability in the main game that you can access at the start of Act 2. There are also some items you can get in the main game if you complete a certain difficulty related task in the DLC. However, on the timeline this DLC takes place during the very final moments of the main game and can be pretty spoiler heavy. You can import your main game character, but it won't be your main game character even though it is your main game character. I know, sounds confusing but you'll understand if you pay attention to the story. You can also just create a new character for it and they'll start at max level.
Last Sarkorians integrates right into the main campaign, so you don't have to worry about chronology on that one.
1. Inevitable excess DLC: Play this before almost the end of the game last boss, to open up buff for your party and some stuff.
2. Through the Ashes DLC: Play this before the attack on the tavern defense Act1 just so you get a the wand. Not too great I heard but oh well. Spoiler was minor to me, nothing I would be dissapointed to knowing beforehand.
3. Treasure of midnight Isle DLC: this one will open up by itself as optional during act 3 or 4 or 5.
4. Last of Sarkorian DLC: This one as long as you got the DLC before you go to the library in act 1, you will automatically get a companion and the companion quest and stories open up automatically in main story.
5. Lord of Nothing DLC: This one, I read about it that it will open up a dungeon in act 5 if you play it before the conquer of Iz in act 4. And if you spent enough time after the conquer of Iz, it will open up the event which opens up the dungeon.
Hope Im not too late and this helps.
