How does one get to the third level of the wizards tower Lord of Nothing?

the stairs are blocked and the other way i found is behind a wall that looks like it should move down but i cant find a button to make it do so. how do i move forward!

There should be a library area with a tornado in it nearby. If you kill the goblins and put a gem in the status, it should open a path.

Do you happen to know how to solve the torch puzzle? I can't figure it out...

i managed to get through by using a scroll of dimension door. didn't know where i got it but i had one... man if that was the solution its a bad solution and owlcat should be ashamed.

as for the torch puzzle i gave up. too much running back and forth and absolutely zero feedback. again owlcat should be ashamed. seriously not buying another owlcat game. their puzzles and encounter design are atrocious.

I solved it by accident because of a bug, so basically what you need to do is turn off all torches, and only turn on 2 torches that has a light cone. solution is

o..........o
x...........x
...Door...

i actually tried that last night by chance and it didn't do anything. also every time i returned to that room the torches would reset so idk. typical untested owlcat nonsense i guess.

I suspect if you don't talk and help the spirit trapped in the tower the torches won't work, they open up a secret treasure area. That spirit also got me to the third floor without need to use a dimension door scroll.

i had expended all dialog with the statue and nothing about that door, and i needed to get past it to put the final gem in place.

I can confirm Kinzuko's solution works. Extinguish all the torches, and then light only the 2 upper torches on the right and left walls as you face the blank wall between the two topmost torches. You have to complete the "rescue" of the tower entity first however.
