If it any point your alignment changes from lawful good to any other alignment, you will lose access to all of your Paladin spells & class abilities until that alignment is restored. There is no reason to do this and it would severely gimp your character.
Off the top of my head I can't remember any non-traditional Paladin role you might play, like a dark paladin of some kind, in this game.
Warpriest of an evil god would be a very, very good approximation of a Chaos Champion.
The closest is Hellknight, who can be evil, they are lawful and fight chaos, which works for this game.
An anti paladin would work easily in the setup, especially when you have the demon path and the swarm path.
Plus we already have the assassin prestige class in the game which is a pure evil class.
There are also evilish archetypes in the game, like cult leader, prophet of pestilence, blight druid, shadowcaster, shadow shaman.
paladins are typically lawful good.... so the COMPLETE opposite of that alignment would be chaotic evil.... which is pretty much the alignment of the demons your fighting....
hellknights are just one step away though.... lawful evil... and you can recruit them early on in Act 2... one as a companion.... they are.... their alignment may be evil but... its not like typical evil.... but more along the lines of them being more devoted to law and order than actual good...
Azata's would be another opposite.... its a mythic path though and not really a base class.... but their alignment is Chaotic Good... they are more about... well its pretty much like "power of friendship".... you draw your power from Elysium.... the realm of dreams... you gain superpowers, and Aivu a dragon companion... but its mainly about "freedom" there are places where you can actually revitalize the land and make it flourish again.... "liberating" it from corruption...
an Evil paladin is a paladin that worships and evil god.
You sound like you want the latter. You could probably build one with a lot of multiclassing
Warpriest and inquisitor both have archetypes that you can get smite good from, but it will basically be useless. You would also give up being a full bab class
Hellknight is pretty much WotR's only flavor of the dark knight. It basically packs most of Paladins abilities but is more anti-chaos than Paladins anti-evil. It is a prestige class which means there's prerequisites, and you can only pick it at level 6 at the earliest if you were playing a full-BAB class before.
Then there's also Cavalier which could be good as the dark knight-type. I need to mention here that these 2 classes don't combine well. Hellknight lacks the mount progression that Cavalier needs.
Chaos Warrior is a lot simpler. It's basically just a big armored dude that likes spikey things. Warpriest, Inquisitor or Fighter of chaotic alignment. Warhammer has a lot of the "murderhobo"-type Chaos characters but not all of them are necessarily evil. There's a lot of variance from Aekold Helbrass to Harald Hammerstorm.
Yeah, I played a fun-stick build as an evil cavalier and thought the character as an Dark Knight, evil Paladin type.
