Arueshalae romance issue

Hi again guys.
I dont know if you guys know her exact lines, but If I chose an option in her dialogue that I want her kiss, and when she replies that she dries you up while kissing, and I say after that im not kidding and its small price to pay for this, is it blocked? I was so inspired the moment I found out I could romance her, but its an early Act III dialogue and Im already at the end of it... Its been a quite lot of time since then :(

Я к сожалению слишком сильно запоздал с ее квестом на бабку, точнее, прошел его спустя часов, хз, 5 после начала третьего акта, делал другие квесты, всю эту тошниловку в Зимнем Солнце, а потом, после ее квеста подумал, можно же гайд чекнуть, а вот по гайду и последовательность действий, в котором притащить ее в Зимнее Солнце это чуть ли не последнее, что нужно было делать, и диалоги какие-то, которые я вообще не видел, и вот поэтому я вот и думаю, не обосрався-ли я где-то, потому что оч хочу насадить ее на свою мясную шпагу

Я не водил её в Зимнее Солнце. И (вроде) выбирал опцию с "я не шучу", которую ты описал изначально. Я водил её к карге, в лаборатории (и отдых после). Затем у меня был второй квест и третий через какое-то время.
Если ты ещё не сделал лабораторию Арилу, то не забудь её туда взять (а затем отдохнуть внутри какой-нибудь локации с Ару в группе). Второй и третий квесты лишь после неё.
После третьего квеста у меня повилась опция на расставание.

Я как раз ровно в лаборатории сейчас. Там нужно что-то особое выбирать, чтоб продвинуться, если он не запоролся?

Внутри лаборатории - нет, но при отдыхе после в гайде рекомендуют опции диалогов.
When Arueshalae talks to you, choose "What's bothering...", "Do you really...", "It's not your fault...", and "There's no need...". Then choose "Do you trust...", "You're beating....", "Good grief..." and "That's why it's..." YES

You need to reload to a previous save before you get any farther into the game if you still want to romance her (sorry, sucks). Choosing the "Im not kidding" option after choosing the "You know, a drop..." option will break her romance and it will make it unobtainable.

Follow this guide. You can read what I told you on this first bullet point under Chapter 3.

Sh*t, can you imagine, that dialogue where I chose that option was 11 hours ago. Not sure If I want to replay all of these for her... On the other hand shes the only reason I play this. It sucks indeed...

I wouldn't want to replay 11 hours either. There is a potential alternative, but it doesn't come without work & effort too:

You can use the Toybox mod and you can attempt to "unflag" the event that happened so that the romance isn't broken. This wouldn't require retracing any of your steps or loading an old save. I haven't tried doing this myself so I don't know the exact "flag" to clear to unbreak the romance, but I believe it should be in there.

But yes, if you understand something in it and can guide me, cz from my perspective it looks overwhelmingly difficult and Im afraid to make things even worse.

Well if you want to give it a shot, you can get the Toybox mod on Nexus. Its free, it's one of WOTR's most popular mods.: https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/8

Instructions for install are there, it's pretty straightforward. You'll have to install the Unity Mod Manager first and use that app to install Toybox. Be aware that by installing this mod it will disable future WOTR Steam achievements, unless you check the box that circumvents this.


Before you start playing with the mod, make several backups of your save files, including copying the actual save to a folder outside of wherever your saves are located, just to be safe. Playing with Etudes can very easily break your save if you don't know what you're doing (and haven't backed up your save first).



Once Toybox is installed, you open the mod manager with CTRL + F10 and click the row for Toybox. On that first page towards the bottom is the Steam achievements checkbox. At the top are different categories of what the mod can do. If this problem is solvable, it will be solved in the "Etudes" category. Search for "arue".

What you see will probably look at least a little different than me. I'm hoping that it's as simple as you have some additional information in that ArueshalaeRomance_Fail bullet that can be removed or altered maybe. I don't really know for sure beyond that. You will have to play around with the info you find... And off the top of my head I'm not entirely sure how you'll "test" your results to confirm the romance is fixed. Talking with her maybe? Depends where exactly you are.

I completed Wintersunm where should be the dialogue with her, which didnt happen, then completed her quest to kill the old hag, then i went to Areelu's lab but aint no finished it. So im here and there. I dont really know what to chose with my convoluted playthrough X.X

Yeah... that's a lot lol.

I wouldn't know how to fix that I'm afraid. If I was determined enough, I would start editing the different things in those Etudes, using that Neoseeker guide to help me figure out what needs to be changed and trying to match that to what I see available to edit. That sounds very difficult though, even for me.

Your other option is to find a save file, preferably of someone romancing her that is maybe a little further than you in the game.... and either just use that save file to continue playing the game yourself, or using that save file to inspect how their Etudes look and try to replicate with your original save.

Did you complete Wintersun with Arue in your party from start to finish? That's what needed according to guide.

@cookie!, I decided to check my situation - since next to fail it states: "not started" I guess I'm good? I *think* I picked the "I'm not joking" option, but that was tens of hours ago. So either I didn't or it doesn't break if you are not horny afterwards, or it just blocks you off from "true end". I'm not planning to romance her, just curious.

Да, я с ней только и хожу. Просто по этому же гайду Зимнее Солнце идет чуть ли не самым последним триггером. Короче внатуре легче выстрадать весь акт заного, чем пытаться что-то исправить :(
