Daeran is dead but not dead ?

He was romancing me and I did accept his attempts so we end up in bed.Tho in my sleep I saw that someone was watching over us.So naturally I wanted to talk to him about it but I was teleported in some place and the other attacked me.When I wanted to go back to save where I havent talked abt it yet but he was not there so I tought I needed to beat this the other.It was quite hard so I lowered the difficulty and gained 3 level at once.Now I dont wanna go back to an older save even if thats the only case.So I went ahead and purchased a raise dead scroll but when I tried to use it it said he is not dead ? So what happened,if I kill the other he is dead,if I run away from the other and use portal he is dead,and when trying to revive him scroll says he isnt dead.

If you fight the Other this way, you can't get Daeran back. I don't know the specifics (sounds like you're stuck with his lifeless body?) but he's gone. It doesn't sound like you did Liotr's quest at Heaven's Edge or else you wouldn't be so surprised about the attack.

So, you slept with Daerun, the Other manifested and attacked you and you solo killed it? Hmm, I seem to remember Liotr (the inquisitor interested in what happened with Daerun's family) telling me at some point not to talk to Daerun about the Other. Seems like you triggered that effect. I would guess the reason you cannot do anything with Daerun is that his body isnt dead but the Other may have taken his soul with it when you killed it.

Or it's a bug.

Or it was intended for this to be a way you could lose Daerun.

I wanted to rach mythic rank 3 but I wasnt patient enough to deal with act 2 so I loaded a save from another game then respeced my character that I wanted to play now.So I totally forgot about what was going on with him and made a wrong choice.I am not that regretful,I realy liked the xp boost tbh but I realy didnt get how he isnt resurectable.The other should be dead bcz I ended him but whatever.I guess I will see his story in another playtrough.

As far as i'm aware if you confronted Other before resolution of companion's quest in chapter 5, Daeran is lost to you, all Raise the Dead's and Ressurections are inconsequential by that point.
