this game's lich path is basically:
You want to win this war against the demons so badly that you'd give up everything for the power to do so, even if that power ultimately defeats the point of winning, since your side doesn't really "survive" either.
PS: pathfinder isn't "progressive" enough to allow a lich romance. I don't think they couldn't have a romance, but pathfinder wouldn't do it, they're prudes. A little too conservative on that end. But, honestly, I'd rather they took the romance out of the game entirely than focus on every conceivable romance angle, so meh.
not sure, but toybox (mod) probably enables you do reactivate the romance flag (if the person wasnt disintegrated).
does this work properly? dont know, but nothing lost by trying.
does this brick your save? dont know, but hard saves fixes that somewhat.
