She has 5 attacks per turn right from the start which really isn't bad. It's enough to kill an enemy in a single turn often enough.
You have equipped her, right? Unlike regular animal companions she auto-levels, but equipment is stil a thing you have to do yourself.
As a head's up, there's a bug involving the saddle up ability. Later, if Aivu happens to be missing, make sure you take the saddle up ability off your various hot bars. Obviously, you can't saddle up when your mount is missing, but it remains "darkened" (and unusable) even after Aivu returns. Unfortunately, removing saddle up from your hot bar after she returns is too late - my character has completely lost the saddle up ability from the menu of actions.
Same thing happens to Bismuth, but at least you can remove the saddle up icon and unequip the actual statuette. After resting, you can reactivate the statue, and saddle up will work normally.
