Yeah, I can't find anything like you describe.
In the pen & paper game, the "lance" was it's own weapon type that was superior for mounted characters, but as far as I know, that weapon doesn't exist as it's own type in this game.
It has since been edited out the calvier description. Now long spears have no inherent bonus to charging. Some spears do give some extra (tiny) damage with charging.
It was gracey who said they got damage bonuses with long spears. When I asked for the patch, I just got silence. It's not a thing. I even think there's a glaive that does 6d6 on a charge.
The Cavalier, not Gendarme, level 20 ability states it gets bonus charge damage for shortspears, spears, and longspears.
I don't mean individual weapons with special bonuses, but spears/longspears as a weapon class. I think I remember a note in a patch update that said longspears do an additional charge multiplier when mounted.
"At 3rd level, a cavalier learns to make more accurate charge attacks while mounted. The cavalier receives a +4 bonus on melee attack rolls on a charge while mounted (instead of the normal +2). In addition, the cavalier does not suffer any penalty to his AC after making a charge attack while mounted."
But that rule isn't specific to longspears, that's a class thing.
The disciple of the Pike has a few class abilities specific to the spears, but again, class specific, not longspear specific.
You are right. Skimmed through the official patch notes and found it inside the 2.1.0u Part II post:
As Chrono mentions in the tabletop Lances are a mount optimised weapon that get a ton of innate bonuses for being used while mounted or charging. Owlcat forgot to include lances in the game while including the cavalier, which is a class basically designed for using them, so they rolled most of the lance bonuses (such as the 2x damage multiplier if used while charging on a mount) into the longspear.
