As a Monster Tactician Inquisitor, does Gozreh have any benefits over Erastil?
Assuming I want an Animal Companion, these are my options. What are the benefits to picking Gozreh?

Neither Erastil nor Gozreh supports Chaotic Good.

Can't you stray 1 off though? If not I guess I'll have to stay nuetral good.

You can. But the Chaotic Good alignment is 2 steps away from both deities. So your Inquisitor has to be either Neutral Good (for both Erastil and Gozreh), or Chaotic Neutral (for Gozreh) to work.

The green faith is a neutral diety. Neutral evil, Chaotic neutral, Nuetral good, True nuetral, or Lawful neutral.

There isnt any limitations. Is green faith a DLC alignment? Why is no one else talking about it.

Wouldn't make a difference in this context since Green Faith has the same alignment limitations as Gozreh in WotR (whereas in Pathfinder 1st edition tabletop it's for True Neutral only).

The summons from other classes don't last that long. Monster Tactician is like 10 times longer. I don't need to cast it a few extra times per day if they never run out. At least it seems that way to me so far and I'm towards the end of act 2 on "core" difficulty (already got through the game with a Monster Tactician on the difficulty under core).

The main reason I asked the question at all was my stealth way of seeing of that was what was giving me an extra summon, and it is not. I've asked multiple times on reddit but didn't want to keep asking the same question so I asked a different one to see if it might be it but I was wrong. XD

Duration is a good point, though, again, it matters more at low levels. And even there, how long are your summons surviving? If combat is lasting minutes, you might want to look into ways to end combat swifter, rather than duration increases. Summons should be expendable.

Anyway, it's your call. Your build.

Regarding Erastil, my assumption is that reddit thinks the bows make the difference, since they are martial weapons so you gain proficiency with those, while your gozreh has a simple weapon (or is trident martial?) for their deity weapon which means you get nothing you don't already have. Trident isn't a very good weapon anyway. Reddit seems to favor ranged combat, so it's probably that.

Best summons, again, are evil. Erastil's priests can be LN, LG and NG. Gozreh's and Green Faith's are neutral, meaning LN, NG, N, CN and NE. Impossible domain is still an option for a pet later on.
I guess I need to play good characters more often I didn't realise there was a substancial difference. I know that they aren't the same creatures, but I didn't connect the fighting styles with the alignments. Very interesting.

As a follow up, for reasons to be one deity over another, another consideration is multi-classing. It would only really matter if multiclassing into a second divine class, but if you take levels of cleric, for example, in addition to your inquisitor, then the choice of one deity would be locked in for both classes. So after your first domain, you'd have another to choose from. Erastil and Gozreh have different choices there...

I've never had the option to pick Green Faith when making a character, so guess so.

And again, I made this thread trying to gain info on Gozreh, which I never got.

My Monster Tactician Inquisitor main character summons 5 units when it's supposed to be 1d3 (plus the perk that gives +1 to that). So the max I should have is 4. But it often does 5...which shouldn't be possible. I thought maybe it's because of Gozreh because my first game I did Erastil but nobody seems to know.

What a "nice" way to say "you suck". All other classes their summons only last 2 minutes at level 20, so...I'm not sure what makes you think I'm implying that combat is "minutes". Furthermore, I can use them for multiple combat since they don't work for *just a few seconds*, like all other classes. And sure they are "expendable", but that doesn't mean they always die easily. I'm playing on core difficulty and often my summons survive for multiple combats.

I'm not sure what crawled up your ass or why it offends you so much the class I chose.

I probably picked Gozreh for the Trident...I wanted a melee weapon to use while mounted, I think, and I think I remember there being a pretty good unique trident somewhere. Anywhere, for now I'm still using a mace.

I know why your summoning more, or less in some cases. It's because the superior summoning feat is bugged. Sometimes it summons more then it should, and some summons it doesn't work at all.

I do love the monster tactician class, but I think multi class with zen archer is good. If your multi classing zen archer, then there really isn't a need to get erastil for the bow. Melee combat is very viable, and riding a mount is powerful.

However your class flavor consists of summoning minions all over the place. It's not easy to melee, when you got 8 Boogeymen running around.
