Resting in Gundrun

Is it possible to rest in the village (Gundrun) when you go through. Everywhere I try it just tells me that I can't rest, but it seems impossible to complete all the quests. Do I really need to go all the way back to Drezen to be able to rest properly?

There's an inn not far from the chieftain's place.
