Alternatively, keeping Part One does not lock you out of deciphering the Lexicon, but it might not be easy. In fact, it's not necessarily easier than it would be if you had given Part One to Galfrey.
I don't understand the question about the Storyteller at all. Of course you can click through the dialogues without reading the stories.
Oh sorry, to clarify: I was bored out of my mind waiting for Galfrey to arrive in Drezen that I just want to get the next story mission on. I learned that the Storyteller can help lessen the skill checks or something, but to my understanding it involves his notes? I read some of these already and enjoyed the story so i was worried of having to slog through his story while keeping the lexicon.
i see, thanks. i guess I'll give it to her and see if she likes me enough to return it later. it's my first playthrough anyway, I think whatever ending is fine.

For storyteller specifically, doing his quest will allow you to bypass the skill checks to decipher the Lexicon. Which I believe is an Act 5 thing.
All you need to do with the Lexicon in Act 3 is read it and either give it to Galfrey or not depending on your Mythic Path.
