Skills wise gearing her with throwing weapons makes her powerful but Lann is a strong archer in his own might too.
I never pick Lann on good playthroughs, and on evil ones I take her at first but then stop after hearing her "YAaEeaEaeAA!" in combat too much times.
She is less annoying than Lann, but the bar is pretty low there.
I also can confirm her as being less annoying than Lann. Or Arueshalae for that matter.
Almost indispensable in battle. Also does more damage than Lan as an archer. From an RPG point of view, of course, primarily suitable for evil MC's.
She never loves you, but she enjoys sex and is naturally submissive like a dog to strong leaders.
In my current run, I even had both on board, even as a regular cast. (Unfortunately only up to Savamelekh.) And yes, Lan and Wendu do indeed fight side by side, even if they constantly snap at each other.
Mechanically, she is THE best archer in the game, assuming you didn't build your MC for it. Most of that is due to pure Fighter archer being the best archer. She comes online sooner that all the others and requires less support to excel. The first time I took Wendu, she sat on the back line executing the enemies.
And that assumes she stays Fighter. Due to the level you have access to her, she has supreme flexibility to do whatever you wan with. People speak highly of Manticore Shifter which fits her well. My favorite build gives her claws and bite, raises her base damage dice, and throws in a ton of Sneak Attack for good measure.
Overall, despite her evil nature, sticking it out with her through her romance is actually really rewarding in a narrative sense. You might want a guide for Act 4 and beyond though.
